Par une matinée bien grise et très fraiche et qui se sera transformée en bruine bretonne, je découvre le stand de Sarlospuszta, en Hongrie, futur cadre du Championnat d’Europe de Compak Sporting qui regroupe les meilleurs tireurs, avec à la gagne, dimanche soir, très vraisemblablement un Anglais, un Hongrois ou un Français, mais pourquoi pas non plus un Italien ou un Espagnol.

The weather is quite grey and wet today. Sarlospuszta Shooting Ground is located in the hungarian countryside about one hour drive from Budapest. This place has been chosen for the 2016 Compak Sporting European Championship. The best shooters in Europe are gathering for the event and it seems like the most likely to be crown in 2016 could be British, Hungarian or French but maybe as well Italian or Spanish.

Caché au fin fond de la campagne hongroise, au milieu des verts prés et fermes traditionnelles, le stand de Sarlospuszta dispose de quatre fosses installées pour l’occasion en compaks, et une ligne extérieure distante d’environ 1 km dans une clairière en propose quatre autres.

The shooting ground is hidden in the middle of fields and traditional farms. It is a trap shooting ground and the organizing team has set up 4 compak sporting here. The 4 other compak sporting have been set 1 km outside the shooting ground in the field.

Pour l’entrainement, aucun plateau de fosse proposé, étrange, ce qui rend les quatre premiers compaks plutôt abordables. Plus techniques, avec des trajectoires plus “modernes”, les quatre compaks extérieurs sont plus compliqués et il est plus compliqué de tirer efficacement.

Even though the shooting ground is dedicated to trap shooting, I have not have the chance to shoot any fast going away target. On the outside layouts, the targets are more technical and tricky. It’s been more difficult to shoot efficiently!
